Irvin Lee Jackson, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Borden, Indiana on Monday, March 14, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born on December 1, 1931 to the late Homer D. and Hellen O. Jackson (Rice) in New Albany, Indiana. Irvin was a man with very talented hands. He was a retired Maintenance Foreman for Kimball International and a self made Master Carpenter and Blacksmith. In his free time he enjoyed beekeeping, making homemade wine, gardening and spending time with his family.
Irvin leaves his memory with his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Jackson of Borden, his daughter, Keisha Reschar (C.J.) of Henryville, his brother, Earl Jackson (Jean) of New Albany, his sisters, Wilma Sneed of Borden, Ada Walker (John) of Memphis and 4 grandchildren, Joshue Weinke, Alexandria Gonzales, Kelsey Reschar, K.C. Reschar and Christian Reschar. Irvin also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory, Breanna Gonzales, Conner Gonzales, Annastasia Gonzales, Lilly Gonzales, Aaron Gonzales, Jaxon Graham, Maverick Graham, Grayson Graham, Elijah Graham, Amelia Reschar and Brogan Weinke.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Miller Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
