Hazel F. (Craig) Salmon

Hazel F. Salmon, 77, entered eternal life on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born at home on May 22, 1944 to the late Clyde and Ella Mae Craig (Underhill) in Sellersburg, Indiana.  Hazel took pride in being a home maker. She could be found at any given time cooking, cleaning, sewing and reading.  She was a familiar face at the Sellersburg Dairy Queen where she worked for many years. Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald Salmon of Sellersburg, her son, Mark Salmon of Louisville, her daughter, Melissa Smith of Jeffersonville, her brothers, Glenn Craig of Utica, Ken Craig of Jeffersonville, her sister, Esther Crawford of Pensacola, Florida and her grandson, Josh Harmon of Gerald, Missouri. Hazel also leaves behind several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
