Gerald Joseph Noll, 91, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Gerald was born on November 28, 1930 to the late Joseph and Catherine Noll (Yaktus) in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He retired from the United States Army after serving our country for 20 years. He honorably served in Korea from 1952 to 1953 and was stationed in Germany from 1959 until 1962. During his retirement years, Gerald was employed for ICI where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was a devout Catholic. Gerald was a member of the St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus) of Sellersburg and Christ the King Catholic Church of Paoli, Indiana. He was member of the American Legion Post 204 of Sellersburg, VFW and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was also a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners International. Gerald thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time on the golf course. He always looked forward to his trips to the casino with his loving wife, Joy. Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Whalen, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Joycelyn (Joy) Noll of Sellersburg, his sons, Ronald Noll (Lottie) of Central, Indiana, Doug Coffman(Robin) of Sellersburg, his daughters, Donna McCandless (Ronnie) of Louisville, Debbie Popp (Randy) of Sellersburg, Denise McNary (Bruce) of Sellersburg, Denise McCandless (Bobbie) of Louisville, Dina Floyd (Ed) of Louisivlle and his brother, Clifford Noll of Texas. Gerald also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A mass will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Garr funeral Home in Sellersburg. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the church.
