Fred Wayne Nunn, 76, entered eternal life at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg on Wednesday, January 14, 2021.
He was born on August 30, 1944 to the late James M. and Essie Carmen Nunn (Allen) in Louisville, Kentucky. Just after graduating from Silver Creek High School in 1962, Fred honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. He married his high school sweetheart, Anita Smith in 1965. Fred retired from Kroger after 27 years with company. At Kroger Fred worked as a warehouse supervisor where he was in charge of logistics. He was a member of the Carr Township Baptist Church located in Borden, Indiana. Fred thoroughly enjoyed his family vacations, a good round of golf, Indiana University Basketball and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, James Nunn and Charlie (Brownie) Nunn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Anita Nunn of Sellersburg, his sons, Douglas Wayne Nunn (Stacey) of Lagrange, Kentucky, Dale Thomas Nunn (Brenda) of Pekin, Indiana, his grandchildren, Zachary Nunn (Sarah), Taylor Nunn, Sarah Nunn, Joshua Nunn (Darcy), Elijah Nunn, Ryan Nunn. Fred also leaves behind two great grandsons to cherish his memory, Konner Nunn and Archer Nunn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Miller Cemetery in Borden, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
