Fern (Cleveland) Graham

Fern Graham, 100, entered eternal life on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Lincoln Hills in New Albany, Indiana. She was born at home in Sellersburg, Indiana on June 22, 1923 to the late Chester and Helen Cleveland (Ehringer). Fern honorably served her country in the United States Navy during WWII. Prior to her retirement she was the owner and operator of Fern’s Beauty Shop of Sellersburg. Fern was a member of the St. John Paul II Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 204 of Sellersburg. She was preceded in death by her son, Flynn Graham and by her brothers, George and Charles “Buck” Cleveland.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Graham (Linda) of Sellersburg, Eddie Graham of Charlestown, her daughters, Marcia Schidler of Florence, Kentucky, Cathy Hashem of Jeffersonville, Chris Graham of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Jean Graham of New Iberia, Louisiana, her daughter-in-laws, Mary Jo Hockaday, Nadine Graham and her niece, Carol Flynn. Fern also leaves 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Cindy and Jimmy at St. Croix Hospice and all of the staff of the Lincoln Hills Memory Care Unit for their loving care shown to Fern.

Cremation was chosen to honor Fern's wishes. There are no services scheduled at this time.
