Doris Ann Smith

Doris Ann Smith passed away on June 1, 2023 at 79 years old in Sellersburg, Indiana.

She was born in Warren County, Kentucky. Graduated from Jeffersonville high school in Indiana,

spent the rest of her life living in the southern Indiana area where she raised her family.

Doris owned her own real estate business in the Sellersburg and southern Indiana areas before

she retired. She along with her then husband Ben Smith helped to develop many neighborhoods

in the Sellersburg area. Doris was also a successful Avon sales lady and created many more

community connections and friendships through Avon. She was a devoted, and compassionate

member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church for over 30 years where she enjoyed fellowship

and volunteering.

She spent her life in the service of others. Her love was felt throughout the community, her

family and her friends that she loved and cherished.

Doris is preceded in death by her Mother Sina Vincent and her son Mark Smith. She is

remembered by her loving family: Ben Smith (ex- husband of 35 years), Greg Smith (son),

David Vincent (brother), her loving grandchildren: Kelsey Lage, Kaley Sturgeon, Quinn Smith,

and lan Smith, as well as her great-grandson Leonardo Lage.

Services for Doris will be as follows: Visitation at Garr Funeral home Sunday June 11th from

12-8 and additional Monday June 12th from 11-1 with funeral service to follow at 1 pm
