Dennis Paul Lenfert

Dennis Paul Lenfert, 68, of Charlestown, Indiana, entered eternal life with family by his side on March 22nd, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dennis was born on July 5, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana to Bernard and Laverne (Rice) Lenfert. After graduating from Clarksville High School in 1971, he furthered his education at IUS.

In 1973, he started working for Public Service Indiana and eventually retired from Duke Energy in 2010. After retiring, Dennis worked part time with American Airlines and enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, riding motorcycles, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dennis and Kathy wed on May 14, 1977 and went on to have 4 children, Paul, Chris, Clara, and Greg.  Dennis provided well for his family, enjoyed every moment with them, and gave them an amazing life.  

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Bernard. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, their wonderful children Paul (Jesi), Chris (Cassandra), Clara (Nathan Meyers), Greg (Brittney), plus 8 energetic and precious grandchildren Cora, Benny, Zoey, Alexander, Katie, Abby, William, and Jonny. He is also survived by his loving mother, Laverne, and siblings Daniel, David, Richard, and Patricia.

Visitation will be on Sunday March 27th  from 12:00 to 8:00 PM at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana.

The funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday March 28th at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarksville, Indiana.
