David Franklin Kemp

David Franklin Kemp, 76, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his home in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on September 19, 1946 to the late Oliver and Julia Kemp (Strout) in Sulphur, Indiana. David was a retired self-employed upholster. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed working on cars and boats, watching movies and collecting anything and everything.  David was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Kemp and by his nephew, William Kemp, Jr.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Kemp of New Albany, Indiana, Ronald Kemp of Louisville, Kentucky, Larry Kemp of New Albany, Indiana, his daughter, Terri Roberts of Louisville, Kentucky his sisters, Doris Scantland (Tom) of Corydon, Indiana and Dorothy Elliott (Leslie) of Sellersburg, Indiana. David leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Graveside military honors will be held following the visitation at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
