Cleota Pearl (Lewellen) Benson

Cleota Pearl Benson, 87, entered eternal life on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born to James and Blanche Lewellen (Feeler) on November 22, 1935 in Borden, Indiana. Cleota retired from private health care. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert “Bob” Benson, by her son, James “Eddie” Benson, by her grandson, William Alan Still and by her brothers, Esten, Paul, Wilbur and Bob Lewellen.  

Survivors include her son, Michael Benson (Barbie) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, her daughters, Patricia Wohlgemuth of Palmyra, Indiana, Tammie Benson of Jeffersonville, Indiana and her sister, Helen Hammack of Borden, Indiana. Cleota also leaves 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
