Brenda Gail (Walton) Lemmons

Brenda Gail Lemmons, 64, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on May 23, 1957 to the late Robert and Roslyn Walton (Faurote) in Salem, Indiana. Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Silver Creek High School. She worked in finance for most of her career until she retired from First Harrison Bank.  Brenda enjoyed traveling, fishing and vacationing at the beach. Her home away from home was Gulf Shores Alabama. Brenda had a very competitive disposition when it came to family games. When it came to wiffle ball, putt putt, card games, not even the little ones were safe.  Brenda enjoyed caring for her flowers.  Her Irises and Creeping Phlox had to be pink or purple. The love for her family knew no bounds. Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Jorgensen, by her nephew, Mark Blackmen and by her sister-in-law, Jennifer Walton.

Survivors include her loving husband, Gary Lemmons of Henryville, Indiana, her son, Bryan David Stephenson of Sellersburg, her daughters, Lisa Watson (Billy) of Corydon, Indiana, Christina Lemmons of Sellersburg, her brother, David Walton, Sr. of Sellersburg, Indiana, her sisters, Ardith Hoke (Marvin) of Vero Beach, Florida, Roberta Newlon of Salem, Indiana, her grandchildren, Logan Engleman, Morgan Watson, Jaxson Serna and Xavier Serna. Brenda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday April 29, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
