Betty J. Dodson

Betty J. Dodson, 84, peacefully departed on January 25, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Born on April 22, 1939, in Bethlehem, Kentucky, Betty embraced the role of homemaker with grace and warmth. Her fondness for simple pleasures was evident through her love for playing checkers and immersing herself in the timeless charm of old western movies. Betty was a member of the Christian Jubilee Church of Lexington, Indiana.

Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Ronald Dodson of Charlestown, Indiana, her sons, Allen Hicks (Terry) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Larry Hicks of Henryville, Indiana, her daughters, Linda Clark of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, Kathy Sizemore of Bethlehem, Indiana and her sister, Seattle Gowens. Betty also leaves 8 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, Indiana. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
