Barbara June (Jaynes) Denton

Barbara June Denton, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, Indiana. Barbara was born on June 20, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Emma Jaynes.

Barbara spent a fulfilling career working for Sears in Indianapolis, where she worked in appliance sales. Beyond her professional achievements, Barbara found great joy in tending to her yard and cherished the moments spent with her family.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Barbara was a past member of the Church of God in Indianapolis and later attended church services at Northside Christian Church in New Albany, Indiana. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Denton.

Survivors include her sons, Carl Denton (Wanda) of Whiteland, Indiana, Danny Denton (Shannon) of Mooresville, Indiana, her daughters, Debbie Bonniville (Earl) of Sellersburg, Indiana and Connie Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana. Barbara also leaves 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren to cherish her legacy.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Gardens (6851 S Indianapolis Rd, Whitestown, IN 46075).
