Barbara J. (Satterly) Winbun

Barbara J. Winbun, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana on Saturday, April 25, 2020. She was born on July 27, 1943 to the late Orville and Elnora Satterly in Louisville, Kentucky. Barbara retired from Jefferson County Kentucky where she worked as a corrections officer for many years. She attended church services at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown. In her free time Barbara enjoyed going to bingo and growing and caring for her flowers. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Winbun and by her son Georgie Shain.

Survivors include her sons, David Shain (Janie) of Sellersburg, Darryl Shain (Tina) of Clarksville, Dennis Shain (Jennifer) of Louisville, Daniel Shain of New Albany, her daughter, Karen Simmons of Louisville, her brothers, Gary Satterly (Joy) of New Albany and her sister, Linda Grismer (Donnie) of Louisville. Barbara also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Due to the current pandemic situation there will be a private funeral service held with interment to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
