Ann H. (Boeck) Arnold

Ann H. Arnold, a cherished resident of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, at the impressive age of 96. Born in Munich, Germany, on July 4th, 1928, Ann was a beacon of love, care, and dedication throughout her lifetime.

After discovering her calling to care for others, Ann pursued her passion for nursing and obtained her degree and training from St. Joseph Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She went on to dedicate her career to serving as a nurse on the maternity ward at St. Joseph, where she made a lasting impact through her compassion and commitment before her eventual retirement.

Ann's life was profoundly shaped by her deep faith as a loyal member of St. Teresa of Calcutta. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family, whom she cherished deeply. Ann leaves behind her beloved son, Frank Arnold, and his wife, Cathy; her treasured grandchildren, John Arnold and his wife, Mandy, and Tiffany O'Leary and her husband, Brad; and her adored great-grandchildren, Jordan Arnold, Haley Arnold, Emma O'Leary, and Thomas O'Leary. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces, Elizabeth Woflein and Inge Greisser as well as her close friends Tammy Skinner and Scott, who faithfully visited her weekly for the past 14 years, and Mary Bowyer from Riverbend.

Ann was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Raymond J. Arnold; her loving parents, Martin and Helen Boeck; and her siblings, Martha Greiter, Jo Ann Hohenadle, and George Boeck.

In addition to the legacy of love she left in her family, Ann was known for her love of crocheting, crafting beautiful and meaningful gifts for those she cared about.

 A Funeral Mass to honor Ann's life will be held on Wednesday, May 21th, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (2253 W. St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Friends and family are invited to Visitation at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the procession to the church. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and CNA's at Riverbend and Sellersburg Healthcare for their exceptional care.
