Alice E. (Bean) Wenning

Alice E. Wenning, 80, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana. Born on May 22, 1943, in New Albany, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward W. and Elizabeth M. Bean (Coyle).

Alice's early years were shaped by the idyllic surroundings of a dairy, grain, and cattle farm, fostering a love for the land and its creatures. She found joy in riding horses, nurturing vibrant gardens, and exploring the beauty of nature through hiking.

Throughout her life, Alice dedicated herself to the service of others, working diligently at Clark County RMC. Her commitment and hard work defined her professional journey, culminating in a well-deserved retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wenning, her siser-in-law, Janice Wenning, her niece, Michelle McCutcheon (Matt). Alice also leaves two great nieces to cherish her memory, Ashley Hebner (Gavan) and Caroline Ellis (Blake).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Interment will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. No formal services will be held.
