Alan Joseph Wyatt, 55, entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on November 27, 1967 to the late Charles and Evelyn Wyatt (Pendleton) in Louisville, Kentucky. Alan was a native of southern, Indiana and was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School. Alan was a self-employed general contractor. He was a Freemason (past master), a member of Shriners International, Scottish Rite and the Order of the Quetzalcoatl. Alan was very active in philanthropy throughout his life into his last days. Alan gave the gift of life, donating his organs to someone in need. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Joyce Sobolewski and Marian Sacksteder
Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Melisa Wyatt of Sellersburg, Indiana, his daughters, Macy Wyatt (Timothy Dierking), Abigail Wyatt, his son, Joshua Alan Oakley (Florida), his brothers, Charles “Butch” Wyatt, Mark Wyatt, Russell Wyatt and his sisters, Irene Hale, Tonya Watson, Janet Reynolds, Melissa Waugh and Joanna Wyatt. Alan also leaves many nieces and nephews and one grandson to cherish his memory, Landon Oakley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
