William "Phillip" Lee, Jr. , 68, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his home in Pekin, Indiana. He was born on June 24, 1954 to the late William and Eleanor Lee (Palmer) in Guam. Phillip honorably served his country in the United States Army where he specialized as a paratrooper. He was a retired electrician by trade. Phillip was very savvy with computers which earned him multiple certifications in the field. In his free time he enjoyed computer programming and video games, but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Michael Newlin and by his daughter, Valerie Lee.

Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Lee, his daughter, Michelle Sowder (Scott), his granddaughter, Autumn Herron (Remington), his grandsons, Tyler Herron (Alley), Billy Herron (Hannah) and Christopher Newlin (Vanessa). Phillip also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory, Luna Herron, Waylon Mclain, Atlas Herron, Jasper Herron and Dean Newlin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Miller Cemetery in Memphis, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
