William "Lee" Baird, Sr. , 69, entered eternal life on Monday, December 27, 2021 at his home in Henryville, Indiana. He was born on November 16, 1952 to the late Armstead Lincoln and Lassie Imagine Baird (Tippton) in Scottsburg, Indiana. Lee was a retired iron worker. He retired from Badget Construction 13 years ago. He was a member of the Kentuckiana Carpenters Union. In his free time he enjoyed bicycling, hiking and fishing. He was an avid wood worker. His craftsmanship can be admired through the furniture he handmade. Lee enjoyed the precious time he spent with his family and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara J. Baird and by his brother, Anthony W. "Tony" Baird.

Survivors include his son, William "Bill" Baird, Jr. (Heather) of Charlestown, his daughters, Angela Higdon (Tom) of Henryville, Vangela Lyons (Charles) of Charlestown, his brothers, Ronnie Baird (Denise) of Clarksville, his sisters, Wilma Shephard (Mike) of Borden, Wendy Richards of Memphis, Opal Lantrip (Frank) of Mount Washington, Kentucky, Vickie Foley of Memphis and his sister-in-law, Angie Baird of Henryville. Lee also leaves behind 8 grandsons and 2 great-grandsons to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
