WALTER HAYNES POWELL, 72, has gone home to be with his heavenly father. He was predeceased by his wife-our loving mother-Melba Ann Powell, his parents, his sister Karen Moody and his cherished dogs Buttons and Nick.  He is survived by his son David, his daughters, Kelly and Christy, their families and his dog Daisy who remained a constant companion to him these past three years.  Walter was born in Jamestown, Kentucky and was a draftsman by trade.  True to his southern roots, he never met a stranger.  He was an honest and hard working man.  We know he is in Heaven right now driving the 1963 Jeep he kept in his garage and still planned to fix up one day.  Be at peace, Dad.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Southern Indiana Animal Rescue.
