Theodore "Teddy" Carson Hamm, Jr., 60, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. He died suddenly at his home in Memphis, Indiana.  Teddy was born May 5, 1956 in New Albany at St. Edwards Hospital. He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1974. Teddy was a life-long farmer, working hard on his family farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking long walks. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and many nieces and nephews. Teddy is survived by his parents, Theodore, Sr. and Carolyn (Dold) Hamm, and two brothers, Jimmy (Ailene) Hamm and Eric (Carol) Hamm, nieces, Rebecca, Clara, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, Kate, Jessica, and Rachel. Uncle Buck had several great nieces and nephews, Lilly, Dakota, Aiden, Carson, and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his godmother, Aunt Betty Fraley. Teddy was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Mabel Hamm, and Louis and Clara Dold.

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home and anytime after 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Norton Children's Hospital (formerly Kosair Children's Hospital), or Home of the Innocents.
