Teresa Gale Stevens Ball , 65, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. Born on November 20, 1958, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edgar and Allene Stevens (Wilson).

Teresa dedicated her life to caring for others, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and serving in various medical roles throughout her career. She provided compassionate care at Hallmark Nursing Home, Riverview Village, and Westminster, touching the lives of countless residents. Her leadership was also evident as Deputy Chief EMS Director for the Sellersburg Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, Teresa was the owner and operator of Indiana Health Careers, where she played a pivotal role in training future healthcare professionals through her Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Outside of work, Teresa found joy in camping and cherished time spent with her grandchildren, who were her greatest source of happiness. Teresa was preceded in death by her son, Steven "Stevo" Gouldy.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Ball of Sellersburg, Indiana, her son, Justin Gouldy (Andrea) of Sellersburg, her daughter, Alyssa Shuck (James) of Sellersburg, her step- daughters, Eden Justice (Harold) of Sellersburg, Lisa Ball of Phoenix, Arizona, her brothers, Glendon Stevens of Sellersburg, Tom Stevens (Barbara) of Paoli, Indiana, Michael Stevens (Shirley) of Clarksville, her sisters, Brenda Harkay (Woody) of Wilmington, North Carolina, Sandee Stevens of New Albany and her grandchildren, Allison, Jenna, Audrey and Juliette Shuck, Britny Vest and Andrew Terrell. Teresa also leaves 3 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory, Jackson Vest, Blaze Ward and Madalynn Terrell.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
