Tara M. Ragland , 41, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on February 4, 1979 to Rick and Ruth Helmerich (Hasenour) in Middletown, Kentucky.  Tara was a 1997 graduate of Eastern High school in Louisville. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Art from Bellarmine University of Louisville. Tara enjoyed painting and caring for her dogs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Drew Wessel.

Suvivors include her husband, Danny Ragland of Sellersburg, her mother and father, Rick and Ruth Helmerich of Middletown, Kentucky, her son, Micheal Danner of Owensboro, Kentucky, her daughter, Brianna Ragland of New Albany, Indiana, her brothers, Ben Helmerich (Shelby) of Murray, Kentucky and Chris Helmerich (Tiffany) of Middletown, Kentucky. Tara also leaves behind two grandchildren to cherish her memory, Jayden Boehman and Amira Eddy.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. The funeral service will be a private event, but family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation. Her final resting place will be at Sellersburg Cemetery.
