Susan Zihar , 78, lovingly known as "Sue-Z" passed away Monday, April 25, 2022.

Sue was born on February 8, 1944 to the late Logan and Nancy (Elmore) Bennett in Hodgenville, KY.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 22 years John Zihar.

She was a big fan of the University of Louisville, collected Precious Moments figurines and was a well known member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Frankie Alford, Matt Alford, and Chuck Alford; daughter Nancy Oranje; step-son Ron Zihar; step-daughter, Sheryl Trueblood; Special friend, Tom Dietrich; 16 grandchildren and 17 ½ great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
