Ruth M. Hardy, 85, entered eternal life on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Lincoln Hills Health Care Center in New Albany.  She was a member of the Charlestown Road Church of Christ, retired from the Naval Ordinance and was previously employed at the Pentagon.  Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Hardy, daughter, Theresa Hardy, sisters, Mildred Gromen and Vivian Griffin.  Surviving are, daughter, Darlene (Daniel) Mercer, New Albany, Indiana, sister, Jeanne Mitchum, Port Orange, Florida, brothers, Richard (Molly) Motley, Port Orange, Florida, Larry (Joan) Motley, District Heights, Maryland, , grandchildren, Daniel (Tiffany) Mercer, Jr., Jim (Amy) Mercer, great-grandchildren, Asa, Owen, Abby and Jonah.  A memorial service will be held 11AM Monday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Visitation will be Monday from 9AM until the time of service.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
