Roy E. Everitt , 88, entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at his home in Sellersburg. He was born to Max and Elsie Everitt (Isgrigg) in Scottsburg, Indiana on the 22nd of December, 1934. Roy honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from West Clark Community Schools where he worked as a custodian. He was a Past Master at the Buckner Lodge #631, a member of the D.A.V., the American Legion Post 204 and the Shriners International. In his free time he enjoyed watching IU Basketball and playing cards. Roy joined his bride of 67 years, Sharon Everitt just 6 months after her passing. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna Grimm and by his grandson, Cole Grimm.

Survivors include his son, Al Everitt of Sellersburg, his brother, Don Everitt, Sr. (Kathy) of Owensboro, Kentucky, his niece, Terry Ledbetter (Joe) of Charlestown, Indiana and his nephew, Fred Everitt, Jr. (Karen) of Henryville, Indiana. He also leaves his granddaughter to cherish his memory, Megan Grimm of Louisville, Kentucky.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (2253 W St Joe Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with interment to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
