Richard Lee Wooldridge , 84, entered eternal life on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Diversicare of Providence Transitional Care in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on November 2, 1938 to the late Jack and Katherine Woolridge  (Quambe) in Acme, Indiana. Richard honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Charlestown and Shriners International. Richard received Accolades for serving more than 50 years as a Shriner. He was an Entrepreneur for most of his life. He owned a barber business with locations in Jeffersonville and Louisville and a cleaning business. His final enterprise before retirement was Al-Jax Chemical.  In his free time, Richard enjoyed working at his local food pantry, dancing, bowling and coaching Silver Creek Little League. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Ruanne.

Survivors include his two sons, Jason Wooldridge (Kelly) of Memphis, Indiana, Richard Wooldridge (Brenda) of Clarksville, Indiana and his sister, Thomacine Wooldridge of Indianapolis, Indiana. Richard also leaves his grandson, Decland Woolridge to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery (1603 Shields Ave, Seymour, Indiana 47274). Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
