Richard "Dick" Thomas Wright III, a resident of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on July 5, 1944, Dick was the beloved son of the late Richard "Bud" Wright Jr. and Mary Wright. He now joins them in eternal rest along with his siblings Jim, Betty, Peggy, Cindy, and his cherished grandson, Cole Wright.

Dick was a proud graduate of Providence High School, Class of 1963, and furthered his education at Bellarmine University. He dedicated 20 years of his professional life to International Harvester, where he forged lifelong friendships and honed his skills. After departing from Harvester, Dick pursued his passion for real estate, working as a realtor for Century 21. He found great joy in buying distressed properties, rehabbing them, and bringing them back to life. Further showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit, Richard owned Jeff Vending, a successful vending machine company rooted in Jeffersonville.

Dick's interests were as diverse as his career. He was a savvy stock market investor and an active member of the Old Men Democratic Club, where he reveled in discussions and camaraderie. Dick was also an avid traveler, with Hawaii being his favorite destination and Florida a close second. He shared many memorable trips with his wife and dear friends, Jim and Pam Page.

Dick's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his loving wife Marian Wright, his sons Richard "Rick" Wright and Jeffrey Wright (Shannon) and his grandson, Corbin Wright. Dick is also survived by his siblings, Catherine Wright (Stanley), Mary Denton, Harry Wright (Patty), and sisters-in-law Suzanne VanGilder (Mark) and Sarah Stingel. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana), on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating Dick's life will be held the following day, on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (316 N Sherwood Ave. Clarksville, Indiana 47129). Dick Will be laid to rest at Walnut Ridge Cemetery following the funeral mass.
