Richard W. Chittick , 80, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on May 22, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Virginia Chittick. Richard retired from the City of Louisville where he worked in the parks and recreation department. He was a member of the Charlestown Road Church of Christ. Richard enjoyed watching his Western Cowboy movies and caring for his little black poodle, Ava.  He was preceded in death by his son, William Chittick and his grandson, Shane Patrick Kelley.

Survivors include his loving wife, Doris Chittick of Memphis, Indiana, his daughters, Kathy and Patty, his brother, Jack and his sister, Brenda. and his step-son, Glenn Kelley. Richards also leaves behind his grandchildren, Rilee, Mitchell, Amanda, James and Jordan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
