It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda M. Bonnet, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Rhonda passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, at the age of 59, in her cherished home in Borden, Indiana.

Born on Tuesday, April 25th, 1967, in Louisville, Kentucky, Rhonda was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a devoted clerk and known for her unwavering dedication to her work, characterized by her kindness, patience, and infectious smile.

Rhonda’s heart was as expansive as her smile, especially when it came to her love for dogs. Her home was always open to stray animals, and she took great joy in offering them a warm and loving home. Her compassion and generosity extended to every corner of her life, leaving an indelible mark on her community and family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Bonnet who stood by her side as her greatest supporter and friend. Rhonda’s legacy is carried on by her cherished children, Dallas Bonnet and Carol Bonnet, Benjamin Bonnet and lovingly remembered by her mother, Karen Williams Everett, and her stepfather, Jerry Everett. Rhonda is also survived by her brothers, Brian, John, and Jerry Metzmeier, along with eight adoring grandchildren and four cherished nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her father, Jerry Metzmeier, whose memory Rhonda always held close to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will take place at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
