Sellersburg, Indiana Raymond Edward Feeck, 74, passed away during the early morning of Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on November 18, 1941, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Helen Feeck. For 52 years, Raymond served as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He began his pastoral ministry while at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He was ordained into the Reformed Episcopal church in 1968 when he was called as pastor to St. Matthews church in Havertown, Pennsylvania. In 1979 he moved to Arvada, Colorado, serving at First German Congregational Church for 12 years. In 1991 he accepted the call to be senior pastor at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, Ohio where he served until 2007. After retiring from full-time ministry, Raymond continued to serve in ministry, both as an interim pastor in numerous congregations throughout the Midwest, as a mentor to Chinese international students, and in Bible and teaching ministries in the People's Republic of China. Throughout his life, Raymond was active with many Christian and charitable organizations. He taught swimming and sports at the YMCA in Plano, Texas. He taught at the Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served on the board of directors at Sunny Acres retirement community in Westminster, Colorado and traveled widely in China distributing Bibles through Grace for Asia and Go with God Global. Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Richard H. Feeck. Surviving are: His Loving Wife: Thelma Feeck – Sellersburg, Indiana Daughter: Stephanie Gillis, her husband Michael and daughters Joy and Ashley – Sellersburg, Indiana Son: Craig Feeck, his wife Jenni, and daughters Rachel, Sarah and Teddy – Glendora, California A private funeral service will be held at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana with cremation to follow. A public memorial service will be held for Raymond at the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, June 12 at 2PM.
