Obituary

Phillip Kent Hollabaugh, Sr ., 76, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1941 in Louisville to the late Elmer and Francis Hollabaugh. Mr. Hollabaugh retired from the Kentucky Ford Truck Plant with 30 plus years on the job. He was the NUMBER ONE Indiana University basketball fan. Mr. Hollabaugh was preceded in death by his brother Louis Hollabaugh, his sister, Alicia Ramsey, his brother-in-law, Duck Ramsey, his sister-in-law, Bobbi Lou Hollabaugh, his mother-in-law, Ruth Hardy, and his father-in-law, Earl Hardy.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Carol Hollabaugh of Sellersburg, his son, Phillip Hollabaugh, Jr. of Navarre Beach, Florida, his daughters, Cathy Hodges (Tommy) of New Albany, Debora Stone of Georgetown, Indiana, Tamara Lehman (Lance) of New Albany, Tracey Kahl of Sellersburg, his sister, Carolyn Hatfield (Jim) of Memphis, Indiana, his bonus children, Ken Mahon (Kim) of Louisville, Sharon Miller (Greg) of Charlestown, Indiana, Laura Flanagan-Cantrell (Rickie) of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Joe Flanagan (Kerri) of Ashland City, Tennessee. Mr. Hollabaugh also leaves behind 38 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
