Borden, Indiana

Paul E. Nicholson, 90, died at his home surrounded by his family December 3.  He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church in Borden.  He was a farmer and former bus driver.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Katie Nicholson, three brothers, Nick (Opal), Bud (Grayce), Pat (Joyce), sister-in-law, Norma Boardman and mother and father-in-law Clair and Anna Money, nephew, Darry Nicholson, his loving pet terriers, Mandy Sue and Kassie Jo.  Survivors include wife of 66 years, Donna Jean Nicholson, daughter, Melinda (Brian) Wright, Sellersburg, Indiana, son, Lonnie (Trish) Nicholson, Jasper, Indiana, grandsons, Kody and Kade Nicholson, granddaughters, Kennedy Nicholson and Chloe Sibrel, six nieces, brother-in-law Jim (Joyce) Money, Fort Pierce, Florida, two nephews and many friends that visited him regularly.  The family would like to give special thanks to the VA and Hosparus of Southern Indiana.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Starlight.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-8PM and anytime after 9AM until the time of service on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Floyd and Clark County Animal Shelters.
