Paul E. Newby , 80, passed away on July 8, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville , Indiana . He was born in Sellersburg , Indiana on February 20, 1939 to the late Earl Wayne and Edith Rachel Newby (Collins). Mr. Newby honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked many years in the automotive industry. Mr. Newby worker in automotive parts for Bales Auto Group retired from Carriage Ford and was the former Co-owner of Auto Body of Louisville. He was a member of Speed Memorial Church in Sellersburg, the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, The Eagle of Jeffersonville and the Indiana FOP. Mr. Newby enjoyed boating, watching NASCAR, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Karen Dugan Newby of Charlestown, his daughters, Deanna "Dee" Wurm (Dave) of Charlestown, Micah Hedrick ( Brian) of Jasper, Georgia, and his sister, Barbara Kinslow of Clarksville , Indiana, grandchildren, Zachary Holland, Chelsea, Holland, Blake Wurm, Savanna Hedrick, and Taryn Hedrick. Nephew Greg Kinslow and Niece Carla Kinslow. Mr Newby also leaves behind many close friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery . Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.
