Paul Ray Hurst , 79 entered eternal life on February 21, 2023. He was born to the late Harold and Beulah Hurst on April 28, 1943 in Oakland City, Indiana. Paul worked at ICI prior to his retirement and he was a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College. Paul was a member of the Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church of New Albany. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Evan Hollkamp.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda Hurst, his children, Carrie Hollkamp (Jeff), Kyla James (Scott), Casey Hurst (Melinda) and Cory Hurst, his brother, Warren Hurst, his sister, Elaine Seitz, his grandchildren, Grant Hollkamp, Ella, Maya and Carter Hurst. Paul leaves several nieces and nephews and his fur companion Mia to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
