IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Orrin "Bud"
Edward Weber
July 27, 1930 – December 27, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Orrin "Bud" Edward Weber, who left this world on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at the age of 95. Bud was a cherished resident of Henryville, Indiana, and will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Bud was born on Sunday, July 27th, 1930, in Sellersburg, Indiana, to the late Donald and Frances Weber. He grew up with a strong sense of family and community, values he carried with him throughout his remarkable life.
Bud served his country honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment to service that would continue throughout his civilian life. After his military service, Bud dedicated himself to teaching, focusing his talents on Special Education at Scott County Schools. His passion for teaching and his genuine care for his students earned him great respect and admiration from colleagues, students, and parents alike.
In addition to his career in education, Bud was actively involved in coaching Special Olympics, nurturing the potential of young athletes and enriching the lives of many. He had a profound love for travel and was especially fond of exploring the western United States, where he delighted in riding and training Spanish Mustangs. Bud was an avid horseman and raised Morgan Horses, further reflecting his deep connection with the natural world.
Bud is survived by his loving family: his brother, Stephen Weber (Jean); and his devoted nieces, Cindy Glass (Marion), Kathryn Gilbert (Ernie) and Julie Weber. His memory will be cherished by his great nephews Adam Glass (Jamie), Chad Gilbert (Amy), and great nieces Amanda Glauber (Josh), and Darcie Goodin (Terry), and several great-great nieces and nephews, and his companion Yin Rei Hicks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Frances Weber; his brother, Larry Weber; and his sister, Evelyn Couch.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Orrin's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with military and Masonic honors at the same location. Arrangements are entrusted to Garr Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Bud's memory by supporting organizations that provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities, a cause close to Bud's heart through his dedicated work in special education and the Special Olympics.
Though Bud has departed from our world, his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
