Michael B. Francis, a lifelong resident of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 23rd, at the age of 61. Born February 11 1965, in New Albany, Michael brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.

Michael is survived by his mother, Rebecca Francis, his siblings, Bryan Francis (Sheryl), Pam Francis, Shelly Jones (Ric), his nieces and nephews Valerie, Amy, Christina, Erin, Nicole, Nathanael, Michael and Joshua. He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Francis, his Sister Kristi Harvey (Dave) and grandparents, Charles and Madoris Francis, Carl and Marguerite Shallers.

He attended S Ellen Jones and Mt Tabor Schools and programs at Rauch Center.

Michael lived in Bicknell, Indiana for 33 years where he found great fun participating in Power Ministries Summer Camps, attending country music concerts, KCARC parties and dances, and bowling. He had an affinity for coffee, sweet tea, picnics, shopping at Dollar General and holidays at home!

Family and friends are invited to honor Michael's life at Visitation on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 P.M. Michael will be laid to rest at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
