Merlin J. Howlett , 51, of West St. Paul, Minnesota formerly of Borden and Hope, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was a 1984 graduate of Borden High School and a former member of the St. Joe Catholic Church in Sellersburg. Mr. Howlett worked at the Cummins engine plant located in Columbus, Indiana and later worked for Cummins Power Generation in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, George & Rita. Greatly missed by his wife, Mary Ann; his step-children, Patrick (Francine) Goetsch, Christopher Goetsch, Laurie (Mike) Bergum; his grandchildren, Samantha, Erin, C.J., Abby, Natalie & Anthony; his brothers, Wayne (Sharon)& Calvin (Virgie) Howlett; He also leaves behind other family & close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus).
