Melissa Ann Brunton, 69, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Grayson County.

She was born on August 29, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky to Albert Ford and Barbara Ford (Willhoite). Melissa was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She especially loved her dogs, Benji and Lady, who brought her much joy and companionship throughout the years.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Albert Ford.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Ford; her son, Robert Brunton; and her sisters, Connie Hazelwood (Ricky)and Glenda McCoy (Ronnie) and Nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Melissa’s wishes, cremation will take place. Garr Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
