Maxine M. Carr , 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on December 11, 1928 to the late Overton and Della William (Braham). Mrs. Carr was a Homemaker. She served as a volunteer for many years at Clark memorial Hospital. Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her loving husband James A. Carr, by her daughter, Linda Carr Johnson, and by her grandson, Brian Johnson.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Bradley Johnson of Louisville, Kentucky, her granddaughter, Laura Beth Asher of Sellersburg and her son-in-law, Phillip Johnson of Sellersburg.  Mrs. Carr also leaves behind 4 great grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Kaiden Sharp, Khalin Asher and Kashton Asher.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with entombment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
