Mary Lou Allen , 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on May 29, 1940 to the late Denis and Patsy Wilcher in Morgan County, Indiana.  Mrs. Allen was a home maker and a member of the Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was an advocate of Gospel Music. Mrs. Allen was a talented musician playing the piano, guitar and the autochord. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene, Leonard, Dwight, Denis Wilcher and by her sister, Iva Dean Helton .

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Allen of Jeffersonville, her daughter, Rita Lou Allen of Corpus Christi, Texas, her sons, James Steven Allen, Mark Allen (Mary) of Mauckport, Indiana and David Allen of Georgetown, Indiana. Mrs. Allen also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday September 15, 2020 at Faith Assembly Church (1715 Potters Lane Clarksville, Indiana 47129) with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
