Mary Jane Justice , 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on January 21, 1947 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Shields (Hurt) in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Mary retired from Westminster Village in Clarksville after 32 years of services as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In her free time Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church services at Grace Community Church in Sellersburg. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Shields.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Fitzpatrick of Greenville, Indiana, Harold Justice of Sellersburg, her daughter, Kimberly Sowle of Clarksville and her brother, Lawrence Shields of Borden. Mary also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
