Mary L. Comer , 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Rolling Hills Health Care Center in New Albany. She was born on June 21, 1935 in Salem, Indiana to the late Ivan and Beula Rutherford (Johnson).  Mary was employed at Robinson Nugent where she worked in electronic manufacturing for over 20 years. Her favorite thing in this world was spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Comer.

Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Brumett of New Albany, her Son, Chris Comer (Kathy) of Austin, Indiana, her grandchildren, Samantha Felix (Daniel) of New Albany, Stanley Comer of New Albany, her sister Carol Ann Reed of Scottsburg and Donna Chastain of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Mary also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren to cherish her memory, Karter and Kaydence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2020 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and on Monday from 10:00 A.M.  until the time of the service at the funeral home.
