Mary R. Meredith , 93, passed away during the early morning of Friday, February 09, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on April 1, 1924 to the late Fred and Gertrude (Baugh) Knable in Sellersburg, Indiana.  Mrs. Meredith was a home maker by occupation.  In her leisure she enjoyed sewing and camping with her family and friends.  Mrs. Meredith was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alva Meredith, her daughter, Julia Popplewell and her sisters, Shirley Pearson and Ann Longest.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen Meredith of Jeffersonville, David Meredith of Charlestown, Tony Meredith of Jeffersonville, her daughters, Patricia Spencer of Henryville and Anita Lewis of New Albany. Mrs. Meredith also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
