Marvin "Buster" Eugene Allen , 92, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Mr. Allen was born in Bennettsville, Indiana on September 28, 1925 to the late Walter and Ida Allen. He retired from Colgate Palmolive in Jeffersonville, Indiana after 34 years of employment.  Mr. Allen honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.  He was a member of the Carr Township Baptist Church and a member of the Buckner Masonic Lodge. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his loving wife Norma Allen, his brother, Russel Allen and his son-in-law, Billy Baker.

Survivors include his son, Roger Allen (Twylia) of Bennettsville, Indiana, his daughter, Linda Baker of Bennettsville, Indiana, his grandchildren, Jason Allen (Heather), Angie Allen and Willice Baker (Carrie). Mr. Allen also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Callen Robert Baker and Lilly Grace Baker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be take place on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
