Martha H. Chapman , 70, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born on May 1, 1948 to  George and Evelyn Sweeney, Jr. in New Albany, Indiana. Mrs. Chapman was a home maker and also worked at Samtec for many years. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg. Mrs. Chapman attended church at Willy's Chapel located in Borden, Indiana.  She thoroughly enjoyed trips to the bingo hall and to the casino.  Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her  father, George Sweeney, Jr., by her husband, Keachy Chapman and by her two sons, Troy and Michael Chapman. Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Sweeney of Henryville,  daughters, Debbie Cavanaugh (Glen) of Henryville, Alicia Spaw of Henryville, her brothers, Ronnie Sweeney (Michelle) of Charlestown, Roger Sweeney (Helen) of Henryville, her sisters, Sharon Sigman of Henryville, Rita Collins of Henryville, Marcia Lesnet of Austin, 6 grandchildren, Tiffany, Josh, Sheena, Erica, Tessa, Keacy  Mrs. Chapman also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Willy's Chapel (2315 Bartle Knob Rd. Borden, Indiana 47106). Visitation will take place at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
