Together with her late husband, Darel Farmer, Margaret had a passion for raising and showing chickens and miniature horses. They were also actively involved as superintendents of the goat show at the Kentucky State Fair, contributing significantly to the agricultural community.

Margaret is survived by her devoted daughter-in-law, Gina Farmer; her loving brother, Jim Farmer; her cherished grandchild, Tyler Farmer, and his wife, Kayla; and her adored great-grandchildren, Calum Farmer and Harlow Farmer. She joins in eternal rest her parents, Joe and Inez Taflinger; her beloved spouse, Darel Farmer; her son, Michael Ray Farmer; her daughter, Julia Farmer; and her siblings Leslie Taflinger, Glen Taflinger, Bill Taflinger, Martin Taflinger, John Taflinger, and her sister Emma "Sue" Catherine.
