LUKE J. STEPHENS, 85, entered eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Clark Memorial Hospital.  He served his country in the United States Army, retired from the U.S. Post Office, a 1948 graduate of New Albany High School, a member of Southeast Christian Church in Jeffersonville and Covered Bridge Golf Course.  Luke enjoyed golfing and was the Senior Champion at Wooded View Golf Course in Clarksville.  He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Louise Stephens and a son, Wesley D. Stephens.

Daughter-in-law: Sharon "Sugar" Stephens, Sellersburg, Indiana

Brother:                    Gale Stephens, New Albany, Indiana

Grandchildren:        Drew Stephens, Leah Stephens Ott, Dylan Stephens, Chloe Stephens and Joe Stephens

Great-Grandchildren:                    Luke, Logan and Phoebe

Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Borden.  Visitation will be Friday from 1-8PM and anytime after 9AM until the time of service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
