Sellersburg, Indiana

Lora M. Emerson-Dietrich , 102, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on March 29, 1916 to the late Spencer and Mary Ellen Emerson (Cox) in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Mrs. Dietrich was a homemaker and a retired Seamstress. She retired from the Seinsheimer's Coat Factory in New Albany, Indiana after 31 years of service. Mrs. Dietrich was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church located in Georgetown, Indiana. She also regularly attended services at the Speed Memorial Church in Sellersburg.  Mrs. Dietrich was preceded in death by her husband, Karl H. Dietrich and by her daughter-in-law, Sherry Dietrich.

Survivors include her son, Tom Dietrich (Sue) of Sellersburg, her granddaughters, Lora Henderson (Jim) of Sellersburg, Lisa Travelstead (Carl) of Jeffersonville and Jo Lynn Less (David) of Sellersburg. Mrs. Dietrch also leaves 7 grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
