Lonnie Ray Roberts, 78, passed away on January 25, 2026, in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He was born on February 5, 1947, in New Albany, Indiana.

Lonnie grew up in New Albany, Indiana, before later making his home in Florida. He earned his education at Indiana University and also attended Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. Throughout his career, Lonnie worked as a manager for Levy Brothers in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was the beloved son of the late Wanita Bernice Roberts (Conway) and William Henry Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Roberts.

Lonnie is survived by his loving family, Patricia and Paul Hoke, Wendy Roberts, and Yvonne and Ralph Koransky, along with extended family members and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Lonnie had a deep appreciation for cars and antiques, passions that brought him great enjoyment throughout his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Known for his warm personality, Lonnie had a gift for making others feel welcome—he never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Garr Funeral Home, located at 7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Lonnie will be laid to rest at Martinsburg Cemetery in Martinsburg, Indiana.
