Linda M. Johnson , 70, peacefully entered eternity on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born on December 2, 1953, in Jeffersonville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fred and Mary Johnson (Keck).

Linda was a cherished former member of the Northside Christian Church of New Albany, where her faith and fellowship flourished. Her love for nature was evident in her passion for camping, with favorite spots at Spring Mill Park and Deam Lake in Indiana, where she found joy and solace amidst the great outdoors.

Linda's heart was always full when visiting her family in East Tennessee. She treasured the scenic drives through the countryside, ever hopeful for a glimpse of black bears in their natural habitat.

Linda's warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Johnson, Jr and by her sister, Phyllis Forro.

Survivors include her son, Derrick Johnson of Pekin, Indiana, her sisters, Bert Branham of Jeffersonville and Anna Lou Spainhour also of Jeffersonville.  Linda also leaves her granddaughter, Katlyn and great-grandson, Damien to cherish her legacy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
